Izmir Cybercrime Teams Capture Suspects Who Promote Illegal Betting Sites on Social Media

Under the coordination of Izmir Public Prosecutor’s Office, the Cybercrime Division teams, who promote illegal betting sites on social media platforms and encourage their followers to gamble illegally, have been conducting an operation targeting suspects who make unfair profits.

In simultaneous operations carried out this morning in Izmir, Istanbul, Adana, Antalya, and Bursa, 16 suspects were captured. During the searches conducted at the suspects’ homes, a large number of digital materials and evidence of the crime were seized.
